With CC, cast on 4 sts. Divide sts over 3 dpn with 1 st on each of two needles, and 2 sts on third needle. Pm and join to work in the rnd, being careful not to twist sts.

Knit.

Rnd 2 (inc):

*Kf&b; repeat from * around—8 sts.

Rnd 3:

Knit.

Rnd 4 (inc):

*K1, kf&b; repeat from * around—12 sts.

Rnds 5 and 6:

Knit.

Rnd 7 (inc):

*K2, kf&b, repeat from * around—16 sts.

Rnds 8–10:

Knit.

Rnd 11 (inc):

*K3, kf&b; repeat from * around—20 sts.

Rnds 12–15:

Knit.

Rnd 16 (fold line):

*Yo, k2tog; repeat from * around.

Rnds 17–19:

Knit.

Rnd 20 (dec):

*K3, k2tog; repeat from * around—16 sts remain.

Rnds 21 and 22:

Knit.

Rnd 23 (dec):

*K2, k2tog; repeat from * around—12 sts remain.

Rnd 24:

Knit.

Rnd 25 (dec):

*K1, k2tog; repeat from * around—8 sts remain.

Rnd 26 (dec):

*K2tog; repeat from * around—4 sts remain.

Break yarn, leaving an 8-inch/20.5 cm tail. Thread tail into tapestry needle and draw through the remaining sts, pulling tight to close hole. Fold the shorter end (last 11 rnds) to inside of the flower along the fold line. Weave in ends.
